Fans who like to wear headphones often need a headphone amplifier to better unleash the potential of headphones. With the change of network resources and usage habits, many enthusiasts also like to enjoy music alone in front of PC. Cayin HA-3 is a decoding ear amplifier all-in-one machine launched by Spark, which allows users to easily build a PC Hi Fi system.
Spark Electronics is a famous manufacturer of electronic tube power amplifier and CD mechanism in China, with a history of more than 20 years. As a state-owned enterprise, the products of Starbucks Electronics were more traditional before, such as traditional radios, high-end CD players, tube amplifiers, etc., which are more like the traditional audio industry. Starbucks is the general name of its domestic envoys at present, while Cayin is used as a brand at home and abroad.
Cayin HA-3 belongs to its true red series, and the theme color is naturally red. (This is not nonsense) Cayin's HA series currently has three products, namely, C6, HA-2A, HA-2i, and HA-3, of which HA-3 is the top of the series and is designed for decoding the integrated ear amplifier.
Cayin HA-3 adopts a large number of metal materials as a whole, or because of product technology, metal materials have become the only choice. The overall design is quite simple, and the bright red body also makes it attractive, but it will not let other elements dominate. The brushed grain design adopted on the surface is excellent in overall workmanship, but there are two minor defects that can be understood.
It should be noted that the Cayin HA-3 is a Class A ear amplifier. In other words, the calorific value during work is relatively obvious. Its all metal material makes the touch more obvious. Of course, as an ear amplifier, you don't need to pay too much attention to this problem. Attention should be paid to the space when placing and using HA-3.
The front panel is equipped with various buttons and functions. From left to right, there are power key, headphone output port, input switch and volume key. There is also a set of music sampling frequency indicators. It should be noted that Cayin HA-3 has two sets of headphone output ports, both of which are 6.35mm. The headphone with 3.5mm interface needs to be equipped with corresponding adapter.
In addition, the volume knob is stepless, and a potentiometer is used. Due to the characteristics of the potentiometer, Cayin HA-3 will appear obvious sound bias when used at low volume. However, due to the thrust, earplugs used on HA-3 are generally low volume, and most earplugs are rejected in case of bias.
Cayin HA-3 is designed for decoding ear amplifier all-in-one machine. There are two sets of input interfaces on the back, namely AUX and USB. USB input is the main direction, which is aimed at the construction of PC Hi Fi system. When using, you only need to install the corresponding USB driver and set the player to complete the whole play. The only group of AUX inputs is RCA unbalanced input, which makes HA-3 play a little less and cannot be decoded separately.
Cayin HA-3 is designed as a decoding ear amplifier, which can be used as a headphone amplifier alone. Due to the lack of interface, it can not be used as a decoder alone. The output of the dual headphone interface is 6.35mm, and the adapter socket is not included. Please pay attention to the use.
In terms of internal hardware, the differential input circuit of Cayin HA-3 uses two 6N16B capacitors, and the power amplifier stage uses field-effect transistors to form a class A amplifier circuit. Both of these ensure the timbre and thrust. In actual use, the powerful thrust of HA-3 is also impressive. The USB input of Cayin HA-3 uses the current high-end XMOS scheme, which supports up to 24bit/192kHz signal input and has good anti jitter capability. The decoding chip uses PCM1792, which is also used in many high-end CD players.
Using Windows with Cayin HA-3 requires the installation of drivers, and the player software used should also be simple to set, but using MAC does not require the installation of drivers. The player uses foolbar 2000, and the trial music is in flac format and covers a variety of styles. The trial headphones are AKG Q701, SONY MDR-Z7, and PHILIPS Fidelio X2, which are hard to push, can push, and can be pushed casually.
One of Starbucks' main businesses is electronic tubes, which is also called "courage". Many enthusiasts laugh that its audio products have obvious "courage". The thrust of the Cayin HA-3 is quite amazing. The Q701, which has always been difficult to retreat, only needs a small volume to get enough sound pressure. At the same time, dual output will not affect it. Cayin HA-3 is warm on the whole, paying more attention to the performance of analytical power, and three frequencies are healthy. Personally, I think the voice is not smooth enough, it looks thin, and the high frequency is slightly burry. It needs further development to improve its performance.
advantage:
The thrust is quite good;
Good cost performance;
Disadvantages:
When the volume is low, there will be deviation, and the use of earplugs is basically rejected;
It cannot be used as decoding alone;
No 3.5 to 6.35mm interface is provided;
