Strange Encounter and Return Patriot X86 Plate Picture Appreciation
Strange Encounter and Return Patriot X86 Plate Picture Appreciation

Aigo was once a quite famous domestic consumer electronics manufacturer. At the end of 2014, it launched its latest Android tablet Aigo X86. The main selling points of the latter can be summed up as three: MIUI, Intel CPU and the same high split screen as the iPad mini3. Before bringing the detailed evaluation, let's send out the unpacking pictures.

The kraft paper box package only has the English logo and the name of the X series, and the relevant information is posted on the side. The test machine we got is a 16G wifi version.

In addition to the warranty, instructions and three guarantees, the accessories are only the power adapter and data cable. The adapter is the mainstream 5V2A output, and the contact pin is retractable.

The appearance of the tablet has a familiar taste, but at least it is not a bad iPad mini male model. The front is a 7.9-inch 2048 × 1536 resolution screen.

The screen is embedded in a whole circle of plastic frame, which is a rare design. The camera is on the right side of the top of the fuselage, the light sensor is well hidden in the center, and the microphone hole is on the left side of the bottom.

The back is a large piece of aluminum alloy with frosted coating and logo of Patriot and "Intel inside".

The top signal transmitting belt is plastic wrapped, and the left side is a 5 megapixel camera. There are two speaker openings at the bottom. Because the back is flat, placing it on the desktop will cause a certain volume drop problem.

The coating on the side of the fuselage looks like metal in texture, but only the back plate is metal. The arc on the top of the left side beautifully puts down the 3.5mm headphone connector. Below is the volume and power button on the polished surface. The key range is short and the touch is average.

All interfaces are centralized on the right side of the fuselage: mirco USB and TF card slot. Perhaps it is for the sake of simplicity (cost reduction?) that the card slot has no dust cover.

It is rare to encounter a domestic flat plate that is not a male model, but limited by the conscience price of 999 yuan, the machine has some compromise in workmanship, and the details are uneven.

The two sides of the body are similar to Nokia's arc design, and the thickness (8.3mm) is thinner than many mobile phones, so it feels good to hold horizontally. However, the original design is vertical holding, and the curved edge does not significantly improve the normal use. However, the 7.9-inch screen is not very fat, and it can barely be held in a single hand normally.

In terms of use experience, the most interesting thing is whether Intel's Z3735F can hold up the 2K screen and whether its MIUI is reliable. These questions will be answered one by one in the subsequent detailed evaluation. Please pay attention.
