Qualcomm announced the launch of four new processors, namely Snapdragon 620, 618, 425 and 415. The Snapdragon 620 is designed with eight cores, four Cortex-A72 and four Cortex-A53. The Snapdragon 618 matches two Cortex-A72 and four Cortex-A53. Both Snapdragon 620 and Snapdragon 618 use Adreno GPU and new X8 LTE modem.
The Snapdragon 425 is similar to the Snapdragon 415. Both are 64 bit eight core processors, which are matched with Adreno 405. The difference is that the former uses the latest X8 LTE modem, while the latter uses X5 LTE.
