Speaking of large screen phones, you may think of flagship phones such as Galaxy Note 4, iPhone 6 Plus, and Nexus 6. More and more brands have launched cross-border mobile phones. The latest product of OPPO, U3, is also a video phone focusing on large screen. It has a 5.9-inch full HD screen and 75% of the screens.
The packaging of U3 still adopts the carton design. Due to the large body size, the box size is also exaggerated.
The first layer of the package is U3, and there is a frosted protective film on the screen surface.
The second layer of the package is the accessories of the mobile phone. The headset, data cable, VOOC flash charge power adapter and a transparent plastic protective case are included with the package.
OPPO's VOOC flash charging supports 5V 5A high current charging.
We got the black U3. The front panel and back cover of the fuselage are designed in black. The front panel lines are quite firm.
U3 has a 5.9-inch 1080P screen, accounting for 75%. The overall size of U3 is relatively large, and the weight is up to 195 grams, so the pressure is great when holding it.
There is a earpiece on the top which is level with the panel. The left side of the earpiece is a light sensor and a distance sensor. There is a soft light on the left side of the sensor, and there is a 5 megapixel front camera on the right side of the earpiece.
There are still three common touch keys on OPPO mobile phones under the front panel of U3. The functions are still menu, home key and return. The keys have white backlight.
The middle frame of U3 adopts the silver edge design, forming a "sandwich" structure with the front and rear panels.
On the right side of the fuselage are the volume key and power key. The volume key is relatively short, so it is a little difficult to adjust the volume.
U3 is processed by the "diamond cutting process" from top to bottom, which looks crystal clear.
There are microUSB interface, 3.5mm headphone interface and call microphone at the bottom.
The back cover adopts dark color treatment and checker pattern, which is very special, but these checkers are just the patterns on the back cover surface, which is very different from the Kevlar back cover used by Motorola.

U3 adopts the design of removable back cover, which is used to plug in SIM card and tf card. It supports dual cards and dual standby. The battery cannot be removed.
Card 1 uses microSIM, card 2 uses nanoSIM, and supports TF card expansion.
Continuing the tradition of OPPO, the U3 is also a mobile phone that focuses on taking pictures. It uses 13 million pixels, Sony IMX214 stack sensor, and F2.0 aperture. The lens position is slightly prominent.
The U3 speaker is placed on the back, and there is a raised support point on the back cover. The speaker is covered when placed horizontally.
From the appearance, the recognition of U3 is not very high, but the back cover uses a special pattern design to add color to the whole phone.
U3 still uses OPPO's own ColorOS, which is completely consistent with other OPPO phones in system experience. The system cancels the secondary menu of native Android.
The pull-down bar adopts a transparent ground glass background design, which can accommodate up to 15 specifications of quick switches, and has brightness adjustment. It is very versatile in terms of functions.

The model of U3 is OPPO 6607, and the system is based on ColorOS 2.0.1 of Android 4.4.4. It uses MT6752 1.7GHz eight core processor, 2G RAM+16G ROM.
The SoC used by U3 is MediaTek's new eight core 64 bit processor MT6752. We have seen the strength of this processor on the Meilan Note. It consists of eight Cortex-A53 1.7GHz cores Mali-T760MP2@700MHz Graphics processor.
The system kernel of U3 is 3.10 and supports OpenGL ES3.0.
We also conducted a simple run test on U3, and the results showed that it can achieve more than 40000 points in the rabbit evaluation, which is also due to the excellent performance of the eight core Cortex-A53.
U3 uses the IMX214 sensor, which is commonly used by OPPO, and works with the PI 2.0 original painting engine. It can basically meet the needs of most users in terms of image quality, but it may be the reason of the engineering machine, and the white balance performance is not very stable.
