As a new brand of tablet computer system and hardware for the first time, the company has brought a new hardware product called Remix super tablet, as well as a deeply customized Remix OS interactive system based on Android system.
As a company that has received hundreds of millions of investment since its establishment less than a year ago, and the three founders Zhou Zhe, Gao Heng and Lu Yunsheng all come from Google, its product style and pricing selection correspond to a relatively small but promising market at present, while the two in one product form (called Remix) can cover a considerable number of application scenarios in the future.
Zhou Zhe, the founder and angel investor, shared the experience of Remix tablet exhibiting at CES in the United States this year at the press conference, and told the original intention of making this product. He said that the biggest reason why people are unwilling to use tablets for office work at present is that the operating system of mobile devices has weak support for office applications. The resulting problem is that most people use laptops as productivity tools, while at the same time buying an additional tablet computer as entertainment toys.
Remix OS is far more than Android. It can basically replace laptops in office experience. Whether it is used for web browsing, document editing, social networking and entertainment, Remix OS has greatly improved the productivity of tablets. Zhou Zhe said that Techno is optimistic about the rich diversity of Android ecology and the future of mobile office.
During the rest of the press conference, Zhou Zhe and the other two co founders helped us get familiar with the system and hardware integrating PC and tablet operating experience, and introduced the company's current external business cooperation to the media present, including some suppliers of built-in system services and hardware partners. It is worth mentioning that Technode will carry out Remix OS licensing cooperation in an open manner, which means that in the near future, we may not only experience the Remix OS operating system on Technode's own Remix tablet.
In terms of products, the Remix tablet has a 11.6-inch large screen panel, a dual angle aluminum alloy integrated bracket, a Tegra 4 master chip, a standard full-size magnetic keyboard protection cover, and a Remix OS operating system customized based on Google Android system. According to the official introduction, the system part of the machine is developed by Technode itself, and the hardware part is jointly developed by Technode hardware team and Foxconn hardware team, and delivered to Foxconn OEM.
In terms of pricing, the retail price of the 16GB version is 2288 yuan, and the retail price of the 64G version is 2688 yuan. Both support 128G extended storage. At present, Remix tablet is being sold in JD crowdfunding at a preferential price, and it is planned to sell in JD Mall and Jide. com at the same time after the crowdfunding ends on February 5 this year.
The Remix tablet also reflects Google's open source licensing strategy for the system, Apple's idea of combining hardware and software when manufacturing products, and its affirmation of the combination of laptop and tablet products.
