OV released its latest ultra-high pixel sensor for mobile devices. The sensor signal is OV23850. It uses its own 1/2.3-inch PureCel-S stack CMOS, with 23.8 million pixels. It has phase focusing and real-time HDR functions.
OV also announced to cooperate with Waverens, which will provide the OV23850 with a micro electromechanical auto focusing driver. The cooperation between the two has reduced the size and thickness of the sensor module, and the OV23850 sensor module will be mass produced in the first quarter of this year.
