Colorful lighting, Kaiku Hero RGB light experience
Colorful lighting, Kaiku Hero RGB light experience

Since Cherry MX RGB was officially released, RGB lighting effect has become a popular selling point. It is interesting to say that there is no backlight without RGB. In addition to the most critical axis, the RGB light effect is more important in terms of software driving and light mode. Of course, the key cap matching is also a detail.

At present, the mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX RGB axis is undoubtedly the best choice, but a single choice and a relatively high price are not acceptable to most people. With the debut of its competitor, namely Kaihua RGB axis, there are more prices and choices, of course, the key is price.

Kaiku should be a familiar brand among mechanical keyboards. Its competitive advantage is its wide range of products and moderate price. There is not much to say about the packaging design. It is still the standard kraft paper plus envelope design. The various information of the keyboard is on the envelope, including the color of the shaft, the key cap and the shell.

Of course, the name of this Keycool mechanical keyboard is a bit long, the full name is Keycool Hero 104 LED Glory RGB version. It seems that Keycool should properly divide the product into series. In addition, it uses Kaihua RGB axis, double color word through key cap and champagne gold shell.

Kaiku Hero RGB is really hard to define "conscience" or "villain" in terms of accessories. It does not continue Kaiku's habit of always pulling keys and giving away key caps, but only comes with a dust cover of good quality. The dust cover is more useful than the key puller and key cap in terms of price and function, but there is no key cap, which is troublesome for later cleaning.

Kaiku Hero RGB is a standard 104 key position design. Of course, in terms of shape design, it is also the mold design of Kaiku before, and there is not much to say. This time, it seems that the Keku Hero RGB is all champagne gold shell. This color performs well in the actual effect. Of course, there is room for improvement in the painting process, but it is enough at this price.

View various details. This time, Kaiku Hero RGB still continues the design feeling of Kaiku, that is, the good and the bad are half and half, neither beautiful nor ugly. For the backlight effect, the white two-color molded ABS keycap is used for the keycap of Kaiku Hero RGB, and the characters appear strange.

The back is also a familiar configuration. The upper two foot pads and the bottom are designed to open the front and rear foot pads for the foot rest.

Kaiku Hero RGB is designed for non bonding line separation, although it still has a fixed line design. In terms of wire material, Kaiku Hero RGB uses the platinum wire material with the keyboard body, and has a gold-plated interface, screen magnetic ring and wire harness.

In terms of keycaps, this time Kaiku gave me a surprise. In order to better show the RGB lighting effect, the Keku Hero RGB uses a two-color molded ABS word through key cap. Interestingly, this keycap has broken away from Kaiku's traditional practice of slightly shoddy manufacturing. Although it is slightly thick in characters, it can not be overemphasized in terms of touch and feel.

The surface of the keycap of Kaiku Hero RGB has a fine grain matte texture, slightly smooth and delicate, with good tactile performance. In addition, the thin wall of the key cap makes the feel of knocking very crisp, which to some extent makes up for the subtle weakness of Kaihua Green Axis.

In terms of axis body, Kaiku Hero RGB did not accidentally use Kaihua RGB axis. From the hand feel, the green axis used by Kaiku Hero RGB is much better than the initial batch, and its performance in consistency has reached the upper middle grade. Without careful feeling, the differences between the axis bodies can be ignored.

Like the keycap, I was surprised by the performance of Keku Hero RGB in the large key position. In addition, Kaiku's performance in the large key position can only be said to be ineffective, and most of them are designed with a stabilizer bar, which is also crisp. But this time, Kaiku Hero RGB uses the satellite axis design, which is clearer than its own balance bar in the adjustment, which really surprised me. Although the steel wire sound is also obvious when knocking, the hand feel is the key.

As the mechanical keyboard of RGB axis, the backlight effect of Keku Hero RGB is naturally not disappointing. Although Kaiku Hero RGB does not have a corresponding driver for more freedom settings, it is cool enough. Kaiku Hero RGB has six built-in lighting effects, which are respectively set on the ins and other positions.

In terms of lighting effects, Kaiku Hero RGB has the following features: following the waves, trial of light, stars, clouds flying, pointing the country and stepping on the snow without trace. In fact, it is wave, single lighting, and global breathing. But RGB's colorful effect is really beautiful visually.

At present, Kaiku Hero RGB has not officially announced the price, but it is believed that from the perspective of Kaiku's consistent price advantage, this will be a new starting point for the RGB axis mechanical keyboard. Although price and RGB lighting effect will be the main selling points of Keku Hero RGB, I am more surprised by the performance of its key cap and large key position, which is a bit high-end.
