According to the roadmap just leaked by MTK, six SoCs will be launched this year:
The entry-level MT6570/MT6580, the former is a 1.3GHz dual core A7, and the latter is a 1.3GHz quad core A7 core. Its performance is the same as that of today's mid and low-end Android tablets, which will be released in the middle and later part of the second quarter;
The MT6735M and MT6735 at the middle end are both 4-core A53 cores. The former is a low-frequency version with a 1.0GHz main frequency and supports a maximum of 8 million pixel camera; The latter is a 1.5GHz main frequency, which supports 13 million cameras at most. Fortunately, they have finally joined CDMA (China Telecom System) support, both of which are 28nm LP processes, and will be released at the beginning of the second quarter;
High end MT6753, 1.5GHz eight core A53, 5-mode chip, supporting CDMA, 28nm process, will be released in the middle and late second quarter;
Futures MT67XX, with a 64 bit eight core architecture and a 20nm process, will be released in the fourth quarter.
In general, the first five SoCs released in 2015 have no major breakthrough in performance, and the strongest MT6753 is just the same performance as Snapdragon 615 (a small upgrade of MT6752 on Magic Blue Note). The strongest MT67XX cannot even surpass the existing eight core 64 bit processor MT6595 (used on the MX4) in ranking.
