Although the previous generation of 360 Routing (C301) has strong hardware and a magic price of 99 yuan, the system at that time only simplified and made it easy to use the traditional routing interface, and its function was really weak.
The successor 360 Routing P1 has just started to sell in limited quantities (10000 sets) at the price of 89 yuan in official forums. This time, in addition to the appearance design that has caused many disputes, its main features return to the basic signal and security ease of use of the router. And how will it behave? Now let's have a look.

The previous generation of 360 router (C301) uses Qualcomm AR9344128M rom, which supports 5GHz wifi and dual band 1200M. Its configuration is much higher than that of the second generation P1.
Packaging and accessories
Pure white matte carton packaging is very simple.
The drawer type packaging is only a little larger than the router itself.
The accessories only include the power supply and warranty (the instructions are on the back).

Appearance and workmanship
The appearance of the router is very similar to Apple's Magic Trackpad touchpad and Xiaomi Routing mini.
On the front anodized aluminum panel are the logo and 8 status indicators.
The convex part on the back is the circuit board compartment (occupying only half of the front area), with dense heat dissipation mesh on it.
There are two wall hanging holes in the cooling grid. There are rubber anti-skid feet at the back, but not at the front, which is easy to shake when placed.
The back interface is exactly the same as the traditional home router. There are 4 LAN ports+1 WLAN port, while the common USB interface on the intelligent router has been canceled
Officially, the thinnest part is 3mm, which is the aluminum alloy plate growing in front. The aluminum alloy plate is still placed in the plastic frame. The main post is decoration, and the deputy post is heat dissipation.
The side is completely symmetrical, and the shaft is made of stainless steel with concentric circular grooves. The shape of the touchpad is really dust-proof and convenient to take care of.
The dual antenna can rotate independently, supporting 270 degrees, and can be used to pose various shapes.
Function and operation
Although 360 Routing P1 is produced by Leike, the system is still its own 360sOS system, and the system version is 0.7.0.18. The official website and mobile client are available (only Android version is available for the time being).
Web side
Iconic web pages optimize and simplify the touch screen, and the left column contains four major items: "Overview, firewall, function expansion, and routing settings".
The general situation of the main interface will display the operation status, network speed curve, and connected equipment (you can directly limit the speed or black out different equipment).
The adjustment item of wifi signal strength mode is placed here, and the sliding slider can switch between pregnant women (low power), equalization and through wall (high power) modes.
The firewall setting page has five protection items, namely, "anti-collision, malicious URL filtering, DNS anti hijacking (pop-up, phishing, hanging websites), ARP, and DDoS firewall".
The protection item is basically the switch and status display (cumulative protection number and so on). The novelty is the anti scratch network protection, which can add a secret protection problem to WIFI. Even if the wifi password is leaked, it will not be scratched. However, for the time being, only three encryption problems are supported: "mobile phone, QQ number and ID number"
The function expansion page itself is the focus of intelligent routing, but for P1, this is basically the basic routing function.
The above "signal conditioning, visitor mode, child protection (limited time Internet access)" and other functions are all plug-ins here, while port mapping, wireless bridge, peanut shell and other common but not commonly used functions have been expanded.
The remaining "L2TP and PPTP clients" are niche plug-ins for VPN, while the popular web acceleration and game acceleration plug-ins have not yet been added.
The final routing settings page is simple system upgrade, wifi (timing switch, channel selection, etc.), and routing account password settings.
Mobile client
The previous generation of 360 Routing (C301) client is "360 Routing Secure Routing", while this generation of P1 is changed to a routing guard, and the two clients cannot be used in common. This is strange.
Compared with the web side, which has relatively weak functions, the mobile phone client has surprisingly complete functions. The home page also displays the network speed curve and running status.
Among the expanded functions, speed measurement, wifi signal management, timing switch, SSH proxy functions are all available, and even online diagnostics, which are well received on the web side, are available.
There is even a smart home device management function, which can be used as a control terminal, but only a few smart home products shown in the right figure are supported for the time being.
performance testing
Distance, barrier and channel selection are the most important factors affecting signal strength. Automatic channel selection mode is adopted for testing.
Horizontal contrast
The comparison object is also Leike's own Q3 route (also a dual antenna 5dBi gain, God's price is 69 yuan).
The above test results are respectively 0m, 5m (with non bearing wall barrier) and 10m away from the two routes. The red box on the left is the signal of 360 route P1, and the red box on the right is the signal of reference to Leike Q3. It may be that the two routes are put together, so they automatically select channels 1 and 10 that are far apart in the frequency band.
The signal strength of P1 in the equalization mode is a little stronger than that of Q3, but the wall penetration ability (middle screenshot) is relatively weak.
In the pregnant women (low-power) mode, the signal of 360 Route P1 decays rapidly, and the signal strength of the partition and the distance of 10m is weaker than that of Leike Q3.
In the through the wall (high power) mode, the signal strength of 360 Route P1 successfully exceeded and left Leike Q3.
It is worth noting that when testing the through wall mode, the tester is connected to the highest red wifi signal, and the signal strength of Q3 is slightly higher, but it is still compared with P1's through wall mode.
Comparison between modes
From left to right are the signal strength in the balanced, pregnant and through wall modes. At a distance of 0 m, the intensity of the equilibrium mode is the same as that of the pregnant mode, while that of the through the wall mode is higher.
The strength of pregnant women mode is about 5dBm lower than that of through wall mode, which is about 15dBm higher, and the difference is quite obvious.
The result at 10m distance is similar to that at 5m distance, but the difference between modes is not as obvious as that at close distance.
In terms of speed, the limit theoretical download speed can reach more than 2m/s with 20m broadband on site. However, due to many on-site computers and complex wifi environment, the download speed is maintained at about 1.5-1.9m/s.
In daily environment, there is little difference between routes. 300Mbps rate routing is supported. When the speed of the external network is only 20m, it can only be separated from the normal 150Mbps routing in the case of internal network transmission.
test result
Officially, there are several technologies and hardware support such as "multi-channel first generation technology, high conductivity PCB+copper tube antenna, 5dBi dual gain antenna, independent high linear LNA". The measured signal strength of 360 Route P1 is indeed several levels stronger than that of Lei Ke's Q3 in the through the wall mode, except for the limited improvement in the balanced mode.
In terms of heating control, 360 Route is really worth praising. There are many cooling holes at the bottom of the route itself, while there are large aluminum alloy fins on the top. The temperature is always at the warm hand level, which is better than the products of the same level.
When it is used as a secondary route, the machine performance is quite stable. But when it is used as a broadband route, the reason is that the network speed of 100m broadband is too fast? Or the author has turned on too many protection functions, and the routing needs to be manually restarted once a week on average, otherwise the network speed will decline abnormally. At this stage, the system stability needs to be improved, and we can only wait for the subsequent firmware update.
summary
This generation of 360 routing P1 is obviously targeted at the mini and HiWiFi routing. This generation emphasizes signal, ease of use and cost performance.
In terms of signal, it is indeed improved compared with the traditional route (in the through wall mode). The three modes of through wall, pregnant women and balanced settings also take care of the psychological needs of many users.
In terms of cost performance, the price of 89 yuan is obviously lower than that of 129 yuan for Xiaomi Routing mini, and 109 yuan for Polar Routing. However, the gap between CPU, memory, and flash memory for routing is also obvious, and the USB interface is also castrated (it can't be used as a remote download tool).
Although the signal strength and stability used in general will not be obvious, and many intelligent functions are of little significance, 360 Route is indeed less scalable than other intelligent routes, and its intelligence is more reflected in remote control and security protection. In general, it is more like a security enhanced version of traditional routing than a conventional intelligent routing.
