As the manufacturer of Xiaomi power supply, Zimi Technology has finally launched its own mobile power supply after continuously launching 5200, 10400, 16000mAh and ultra-thin 5000mAh mobile power supplies for Xiaomi. In addition to adopting a different appearance, its "ZMI" logo rarely appears on the product, but what will its performance be?

Appearance and unpacking
The latest version of Zimi and Xiaomi mobile power supplies are packed in frosted paper boxes. In addition to barcode and QR code, there are anti-counterfeiting labels on the back.
There is also a layer of paper box in the outer package, and the power cord on the side has an easy tear strip to take out the power cord.
The accessories have extremely detailed instructions and still short noodle power cord.
The shell is made of pure white matte material, with wavy convex stripes for anti slip.
In the upper left corner is the logo of Zimi "ZMI", whose design elements all imply its blood relationship with Xiaomi.
There are also wavy stripes on the back.
The seam can be seen at the back edge. The thickness of the seam is even and the workmanship is good.
Simple product information is printed on the side. Because the thickness is similar to that of an ordinary mobile phone, it can also be stuck on the phone holder.
There is a string of unknown numbers on the side.
There is protective tape at the interface. From left to right, there are power key, 4LED power indicator, input and output interfaces. As the price of being thin and light, the power key is narrow and hard, which makes it uncomfortable to press.
Use and comparison
Compared with the previous 10400mAh and 16000mAh millet power supplies (22 and 21.6mm thick respectively), the 10.5mm thick purple rice power supply has obvious thickness advantages although its front is wider.
With a thickness of 10.5mm, Xiaomi 4, which is not always thin, was almost abused.
The same interface layout, but one USB output port is missing from the 16000mAh Xiaomi power supply.
Purple rice, millet 10400mAh and 16000mAh power supplies are respectively located at the top and bottom. Their weights are 198g, 250g and 350g respectively, with a difference of more than 50g (close to an egg), which is very obvious when they are held.
The power supply is still plug and play, and the power key on the top has only one function - the power indicator to check the power. Four LED lights represent 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the power respectively, and will automatically turn off after flashing for a few seconds.
Charging performance
During the test, the power supply is about 75%, and the measured no-load voltage is about 5.12V.
Charge Xiaomi 4, output 1.15A/5.0V (3100mAh battery, output 2A of native charger)
Charge Xiaomi for 2s, and the output is 0.95A/5.0V (use 3100mAh thickened battery, and the output of the native charger is 1A)
Charge the tester, and the output is 0.98A/5.0V (1800mAh battery, native charger output 1A)
It charges the Xiaomi tablet, and the output is 1.7A/4.9V (6700mAh battery, native charger output 2A)
Charge the iPad 3, and the output is 1.95A/4.9V (11560mAh battery, native charger output 2A)
In general, the power supply can recognize that different devices output different currents (or the power IC of some devices can control the input current). During the charging process, the voltage changes slightly, and the amplitude is maintained at about 0.1V.
In terms of heating, thanks to the huge surface, the temperature during charging and discharging is only a little higher than the room temperature. It can't even feel its heat during charging, which is the lowest heat generating power supply used by the author.
Officially, the main control chip of Texas Instruments has nine protection circuits, and the board end conversion rate is up to 93%, but these cannot pass the violence test (mainly because of poverty).
At 10000mAh, even at the official standard conversion rate, after deducting other losses, the power charged to the mobile phone is about 6500-6800mAh. It can charge Xiaomi 4 twice, Hongmi 1S three times, and iPhone 6 3.5 times, but it can do nothing for the power monster Xiaomi tablet or iPad.
summary
Because mobile power supplies are chemical batteries, their capacity is proportional to the weight and volume. All manufacturers can do is change the shape or use lithium battery cells with higher energy density.
The biggest difference between the 10000mAh mobile power supply of Zimi and the power supply of Xiaomi before is that it uses a plastic lithium polymer cell instead of an 18650 standard cell. So it can make the thickness of the battery thin, but the cost is that the area of the battery becomes larger (the volume remains the same, and the area increases when the thickness decreases)
In theory, the safety of this type of cell is also higher than that of the 18650 cell. But unless they are abused, it is also very difficult to make them go wrong. Different cells bring about lighter weight, different shapes, and different shells, but the difference between the price of 30 yuan depends on personal needs (the 10400mAh version sells for 69 yuan).

Pure white and easy to get dirty
Cost performance is not as high as 18650 cell products
Thin enough to worry about it being bent
