LG recently announced that it will immediately upgrade Android 5.0 for its flagship mobile phone G3. In fact, there are many leaked Android 5.0 flash packs on the network, mainly for Korean and international versions of G3. This upgrade speed also made the G3 the second mobile phone to upgrade Android 5.0 after MOTO X. We also immediately upgraded the Korean version of G3 and tasted the taste of "lollipop".
We used Korean SK Telecom version G3 in this experience, and the model is F400S.
We will not introduce the process of the machine cleaning in detail here. We will import the official Android 5.0 machine cleaning package that has been packaged into zip in advance, and use the third-party Recovery to import the system version of F400S19c. Interested friends can click Download the refresh package (the phone model must be F400S to be refreshed, and other versions must not be tried).
This upgrade of Android 5.0 in G3 is not a huge change. It just adds elements of Android 5.0 to the original UI, so we only choose some places that are different from the past. The launcher can hardly see any difference. The virtual key has not been replaced with the Android 5.0 style, but also maintains the secondary menu design.
There is no change in the secondary menu.
The multitasking interface is very similar to the native Android 5.0, which uses the card presentation form and supports one click clearing.
Long press the multi task key to pop up the familiar menu key.
The drop-down bar combines notification and shortcut switch, which is very similar to native Android 5.0, but the shortcut switch still retains the LG style.
Click the icon in the upper right corner to see that Android 5.0 of G3 supports multi-user settings, which I believe is also a function required by many users. In addition, this screenshot shows that the notification font and background meaning of third-party applications are dark, which needs to be optimized.
Add the pop-up window of the user, and you can see that the original Android 5.0 white+green style is also integrated here.
The lock screen interface adds a notice display, which is stacked with the clock above, and looks a bit messy.
There is no difference between the setting menu and Android 4.4.
System information: Android version 5.0, kernel 3.4.0, software version F400S19c.
Now that Android 5.0 has been upgraded, there will certainly be eggs of lollipop.
There is also a small game similar to Flappy Bird, but the difficulty is a bit against the sky.
Android 5.0 completely abandons the Dalvik mode and fully adopts the ART mode, so there is no corresponding option in the developer options.
In terms of system applications, there is little difference from the previous ones. The above are dial-up panel, file manager and timer.
Android 5.0 in G3 integrates some elements of the native system. For example, the buttons in the pop-up windows of the previous two pictures do not display graphically, but directly display green text on a white background.
Some elements of native Android 5.0 are also integrated when installing applications.
Press and hold the return key to open the split screen display mode of G3.
The picture shows the browser and information interface in split screen display.
The virtual key still supports customization. You can set functions and styles, but there are only black and white virtual key colors.
The virtual key still supports the automatic hiding function of specific applications, which is more intelligent than the virtual key of general mobile phones.
We can view some system information of G3 after Android 5.0 through CPU-Z.
After upgrading the system, the Adreno 330 driver of G3 has also been upgraded to V84, which is the same as several Snapdragon 805 phones.
After upgrading the system, the camera of G3 still hasn't changed much, but the imaging speed is much faster. In the past, the imaging speed of G3 was almost unbearable.
In terms of photographing function, G3 still hasn't added the new system, which is even a step backwards compared with G2.
