Sharp's display screen will rely on reflective coating to replace the familiar backlight. However, most importantly, it can let users see the content on the screen in direct sunlight, but it cannot display the content normally in the dark.

Sharp display prototype also has a special semiconductor memory built in, which can use semiconductor circuits as the memory of storage media, thereby reducing energy consumption.

Sharp said that compared with the current mainstream smart watch display, the energy consumption of this display is 1000 times lower, which can greatly improve the battery life of the smart watch, which can increase the battery life from 1 to 2 days to 4 to 5 days.
