Samsung Announces 64 Bit Eight Core Exynos 7 Processor

Samsung announced the Exynos 7 OCTA processor on the official website of Exynos. It is a 64 bit eight core processor, which uses a bit composed of four core Cortex-A57 and four core Cortex-A53 LITTLE architecture, combined with Mali-T760 graphics processor, is generally close to Exynos 5433.

Exynos 7 Octa supports HMP (heterogeneous multiprocessing) technology, that is, it can "fully open eight cores". Compared with Exynos 5 Octa (Exynos 5433 should not be included), it will bring 57% CPU performance improvement. Exynos 7 Octa supports Samsung's 20nm HKMG process. Support face and even eye recognition technology.

Exynos 7 Octa supports H.265 (HEVC) hardware decoding and WQHD (2560 * 1440) and WQXGA (2560 * 1600) resolution output. It is also equipped with dual ISPs. The rear supports up to 16 million ("5K" level) pixels of 30 videos, and the front supports up to 5 million pixels of 30 videos.

Exynos 7 Octa uses the Mali-T760 series graphics processor, which will bring 74% performance improvement. If this is compared with the Mali-T628mp6 on Exynos 5430, the GPU performance will be much better than Exynos 5433.
