Crisp and cool feel Quick Fire XT

The feel of the mechanical keyboard is undoubtedly the most attractive, and the feel is a combination of many things, such as the design of the key cap, shaft body, balance bar, and even the steel plate and PCB. Although it sounds slightly metaphysical, the meticulous experience is what enthusiasts care about. Among them, the performance of the green axis is the most important. It can even be said that the feel of the green axis version best represents the quality of its workmanship.

Quick Fire XT is a mechanical keyboard launched earlier by Cool Cool, and its packaging design is not as fashionable as the Rapid-i introduced earlier.

The biggest feature of Quick Fire XT is that it is made in Taiwan, and its OEM is Libao. In the mechanical keyboard circle, the origin is a very interesting question. Generally speaking, Taiwanese manufacturers have great advantages in the quality of workmanship and the adjustment of balance bars, while Chinese mainland OEM is slightly inferior.

Libao can be said to be the best synonym for Taiwan made products. Libao manufactures almost all of Filco's keyboard products, and Filco represents the first camp of workmanship quality in mechanical keyboards, and its performance in PCB, workmanship, keycaps and feel is also obvious to all. Of course, what's more interesting is that Quick Fire XT is manufactured by Libao, and its performance in all aspects has been called half price Filco by many people in the circle.

On the back is a description of various features.

Compared with Filco's spare parts, Quick Fire XT is undoubtedly more generous. Quick Fire XT comes with a red direction key, logo key cap for R1, PS/2 adapter, key puller, and of course a data cable.

The data cable of Quick Fire XT is special. It uses an uncommon USB interface. The two interfaces have cool logos, which have been gold-plated, and the quality and workmanship are quite good. And the wire used is quite comfortable, which can be said to be the best keyboard I have ever seen in mass production.

In mechanical keyboards, mini USB is the most commonly used interface, and in recent years, many more use mirco USB interface, while the same as Quick Fire XT, USB interface is rarely used. According to the introduction by PM of Kuleng Machinery Keyboard, the use of such interface is to make the connection between the wire and the keyboard more stable and avoid the possibility of disconnection in use.

Quick Fire XT is a standard 104 key design. If you only look at the front design, you may really think it is Filco. The Quick Fire XT used in this shooting should be considered as the second generation product. Compared with the earliest Quick Fire XT, it has some changes in logo and other small details. At the same time, the steel plate color of Quick Fire XT's red axis version is red, which has better visual effect.

View the details of each part of Quick Fire XT. If I just look at the pictures, I may not feel too much. The initial feeling of Quick Fire XT is very Japanese or Taiwanese, or it has a Filco flavor, especially the indicator design in the upper right corner. Quick Fire XT uses skin like materials on its surface, but as an early product, its skin like coating performance is not too good. Compared with Rapid-i, it is slightly inferior in all aspects.

Quick Fire XT has also set many multimedia keys on the keyboard, such as the corresponding volume increase/decrease and forward/backward in the F area. Quick Fire XT also sets a unique cap in F9 to indicate whether the Win key is locked. The keyboard area of Quick Fire XT also has 1X, 2X, 4X and 8X, which are variable speed functions realized under the PS/2 interface.

Four anti slip pads and foot rest on the back. The back of Quick Fire XT is also very interesting. It has a certain mirror effect.

Quick Fire XT has a long anti slip mat, but the tripod has no corresponding anti slip mat.

The indicator light is on the upper right corner of Quick Fire XT, which is also a common design in the 104 keyboard. The color of the indicator light is red, which adds something special to the whole keyboard.

Quick Fire XT uses an unusual USB interface, which is designed on the top of the indicator light and has a certain concave design.

Compared with the earlier Kuleng mechanical keyboard products, Quick Fire XT only has a logo on the top of the upper left corner. The low-key design does not affect the vision, but it does not appear thin.

Quick Fire XT is designed for the built-in steel plate, and has carried out some atomization treatment. The shaft body is Cherry MX, and there is not much good pertinence in the feel. Quick Fire XT, known as the half price Filco, has also caused a period of debate and abuse in the circle. It can be seen that its own performance in the feel is quite controversial, or a certain prejudice of Filco fans.

The adjustment of Quick Fire XT's stabilizer bar is very good. It was very crisp after the adjustment. In addition to the ABS key cap of Quick Fire XT, I really like the feeling of knocking. In addition to the green shaft, Quick Fire XT makes me very comfortable in the combination of shaft body, stabilizer bar and key cap.

In terms of key cap, Quick Fire XT uses the common ABS key cap, and the characters are printed by laser etching. The AB key cap of Quick Fire XT has a thin key wall, which makes it easy to have a crisp feel and performance when striking.

Quick Fire XT is currently priced at 599 yuan, and its hand feel is almost the same as that of Filco. The current price of Filco is also around 1000 yuan, and there is no mistake about half price Filco. Quick Fire XT has certain advantages over Filco in details, such as the use of key line separation design, multimedia key support, etc., which is also its selling point. If you care a lot about the feel and your budget is limited, Quick Fire XT is a good choice.
