The last preview version Android 5.0 Preview
The last preview version Android 5.0 Preview

In the early morning of October 18, 2014, Google released the Android 5.0 Preview to replace the previous Android L Preview. This should be the last preview version of Android 5.0 before the official launch. The preview version is basically the same as 5.0 in function and UI, so let's take a look at it first.

The device in the hands of the author is Nexus 5 US version, the model is D820, and Google codes it Hammerhead. The 5.0 preview version number of this update is LPX13D, and the size of the official image package is 394MB.

After successfully booting in, Nexus will first pop up a warning box, indicating that the firmware still belongs to the developer preview version and reserves the right to change and issue bugs.

The welcome interface is followed by the option of connecting to Wi Fi. The color matching of the dialog box and keyboard is different from the previous L preview version, and the size of the virtual keys has also been reduced a bit.

When you first start up, you will be asked to register the host. This is also because 5.0 has added a multi-user mode. After registration, you can switch freely between the visiting account and the host account.

Then there is the Google service BLABLABLA that cannot be used inside the wall.

Setup complete.

The first time you enter the desktop, there will be teaching as always.

There is not much difference between the desktop and the previous L preview version. The desktop is still the same Google Now Launcher as 4.4. X with some wallpapers. However, the 5.0 preview version has removed the Huanchat app, and instead uses the fossil level SMS app. The official version should still use Huanchat.

Similar to the pull-down menu on the L preview version, but some icons have been redesigned and the percentage display of battery power and flashlight function have been added, so the animation effect is still beautiful and beautiful.

The application drawer UI has been changed, and the open version will have a beautiful animation effect. The preview version lacks a lot of Google Apps.

The changes to the desktop are still the same.

The multi task switching interface is the same as the L preview version. There is no one button to turn off all functions. Then the 5.0 USB debugging icon becomes a cute lollipop.

The settings menu is still the same.

Come on, check your body.

The steps for entering the developer options remain the same, and the version number is clicked.

The developer options are basically the same as those of the L preview version. There is no Dalvik mode. It seems that ART will be adopted in the future.

The halo effect of virtual button clicking is different from that of the preview version of L, and I still like the design that the center of the circle spreads from the point above L.

The Wi Fi interface and the Bluetooth interface have not been modified. However, the icon of the switch has changed compared with the design of one horizontal and one circular on the L preview version. When it is turned on and off, there is still an animation effect.

There is not much difference between the dial UI and the L preview version. It seems that the color matching has changed? From the original cyan white match to the blue white match.

Contact interface, unchanged.

The 5.0 preview version of the native keyboard has added animation effects to the key pop up. Specifically, please use the touch pad input method. Press the Enter key at the lower right corner to open the expression interface.

The camera still has a familiar interface and very simple functions. HDR+also has. It still does not support slow motion video and other functions, but it is also satisfying to be able to manually expose.

The built-in album app of the 5.0 preview version, Google, are you kidding me?

I have given up complaining about the music player APP.

Calendar APP.

The clock APP has also changed its color matching compared with the L preview version, and its functions and UI remain unchanged.

Even without Chrome is drunk.

Calculator, nothing to say.

The notification bar is pulled down to switch the user interface. However, when switching back to my account, there is no prompt to enter a password. Users can also be added.

When adding users, you can manage their permissions.

The new UI of Google Play is completely flat.

At present, we have seen the specific software compatibility here for the time being. Please look forward to our subsequent updates, Stay Tuned~
