Fantai, the third largest company in South Korea, announced its listing for sale

According to foreign media reports, Pantime, a mobile phone manufacturer that has always ranked the third in South Korea, announced its listing for sale. In August before that, Fantai had obtained a repayment period of two more years, but it still applied for bankruptcy and listed for sale. The reason for listing for sale is that there is a considerable gap between the liquidation valuation of Fantai and the value of going concern, of which the liquidation value is 189 billion won and the value of going concern is 382 billion won.

Industry insiders analyzed that among the sellers listed for sale by Fantai, SK Telecom, a Korean operator, will be the most powerful competitor, while well-known Korean enterprises such as Samsung, LG, etc. may also participate in the bidding, and there are also some series of potential Chinese buyers.
