With extremely excellent workmanship quality and mysterious static capacitance feel, it has been called the antipyretic artifact and ascended the altar. Although the static capacitance keyboard, a "fever elixir", is highly sought after, the high price can only decline the favor of too many people. But is the Noppoo 108EC Pro, which was launched under the name of domestic static capacitor, a farce or a surprise?

The figure above shows the structure of Topre static capacitance. The static capacitance uses a contactless capacitive switch. The static capacitance uses the change of capacitance to judge the opening and closing of the key. After the key is pressed, the capacitance capacity in the switch changes to trigger. The whole process does not require the switch to be closed, and there is no physical contact point to achieve the knocking operation, so the wear is less and the service life is longer.

At present, the common static capacitance keyboards are Realforce and HHKB series, both of which are also applicable to Topre technology, or the traditional static capacitance keyboards refer to Topre. Since the supply problem of Cherry shaft body this year, many mechanical keyboard manufacturers have started to develop or replace other shaft bodies. In addition to the conventional mechanical shaft body, the rest is the electrostatic capacity.

The cooperation between Kuleng Zhizun and Topre is an orthodox product; Fuller also has a "static capacitance" keyboard, but actually it should be considered as a variant of its own King Kong suit; Today's Noppoo is similar to Topre in architecture, but it is completely designed and developed by Chinese people, so I really don't know how to classify it.

In terms of packaging design, Noppoo 108EC Pro is quite similar to the kraft paper of Realforce series. Although it looks very cheap, it is also a classic durable or retro style. Of course, kraft paper can strengthen the hardness, so that the shape will be better and more high-grade. What occupies a large area on the front is the rendered image of Noppoo 108EC Pro and some features.

The features in the upper left corner are all in English. Although they are a little tall, they are not grounded enough. And the features introduced are not too new, such as static capacitance, PBT key cap, full key non impact support, Windows 8 support, etc.

There is also a profile in the lower right corner. Although it seems meaningless, it has a special meaning. The height of Noppoo 108EC Pro keycap is a rare Cherry height, and the highest keycap is still a rare R5 height. The classic and retro flavor is strong.

Parts are a little shabby. They are mini USB cable, key puller and warranty card. However, the key puller is still a plastic key puller, which is more likely to damage the key cap and is not as good as the steel wire puller.

Noppoo 108EC Pro is designed by the famous mechanical keyboard ring god A, whose symbolic round edge design is clearly visible. In fact, there are many keyboards in the A design, and its symbolic round edge design really makes people wonder how to love and hate.

Noppoo 108EC Pro keycap has two colors, but there is no other difference in fact. Of course, this color matching is actually the keyboard color matching of a long time ago, which further strengthens the recognition by separating the functional area from the character area through color, and now it is a simple look.

In terms of key cap material, the Noppoo 108EC Pro uses PBT material and is also thickened. In terms of height, it is also a rare Cherry height. In terms of workmanship, the Noppoo 108EC Pro keycap has been thickened with sharp edges and corners. Although the nozzle treatment is rough, the overall quality is superior. It is also very comfortable in touch. The color and appearance are very similar to the natural color keycap style introduced earlier. It seems that the material purity is quite good. In terms of characters, ordinary laser is used, and the color is lighter.

In addition, it should be noted that the Noppoo 108EC Pro keycaps are R1~R5, while the common mechanical keypads are R1~R4. This design has no obvious effect except that the F-zone keycap is high. In addition, you can also notice that the bottom of the Noppoo 108EC Pro key cap is a cross column, which is very different from the common static capacitance keyboard key cap. This is an important selling point of Noppoo 108EC Pro. The static capacitance keyboard is also compatible with the mechanical keyboard key cap.

Although the key cap does not make targeted changes to the lighting effect, corresponding LED lights are still designed on some conventional keys. Of course, it seems that the full light version and RGB light version will be selected later. In terms of large key positions, Noppoo 108EC Pro uses a balance bar design, which is no different from common mechanical keyboards in shape, but a relatively crisp balance bar in hand feel.

Of course, you can also see a strange thing from here. The positioning plate of Noppoo 108EC Pro is of steel primary color, that is, there is no post-processing. This design makes the light perform well in diffusion, and can illuminate a larger area after reflection. Of course, without post-processing, it is easy to make the positioning plate scratch. Although it does not affect the use, OCD patients are still not able to accept it.

Having said so much, the key point is still the feel in the end. I'd better make a statement about such a metaphysical thing as hand feeling. The subjective feeling does not represent the objective fact. The hand feeling experience I expressed only represents my personal subjective feeling. Please treat it rationally.

In terms of structure, there is no obvious difference between the static capacitance of Noppoo 108EC Pro and Topre. In fact, it can be concluded that their performance in hand feel is quite similar, and their shapes on the shaft body are also very similar, except that the base and chrysanthemum position are different, but they will not affect the hand feel. The actual experience also proves that they are very similar. Personally, I think the handle of Noppoo 108EC Pro is at least 90% similar to that of Topre, which is a success.

However, it is still what I said in the experience of HHKB's static capacitance keyboard. The touch of the static capacitance keyboard is not necessarily a "fever elixir". There are 35g and 45g Noppoo 108EC Pro, respectively. 45g is the pressure commonly used by Realforce and HHKB, which is obviously different from the membrane keyboard in use, while 35g is lightweight, which further reduces the tiredness of long-time knocking, but is quite similar to the feeling of membrane.

Figuratively speaking, after playing with Noppoo 108EC Pro, my colleagues first felt that it was very similar to my keyboard. In fact, this is also the feeling of the static capacitance keyboard to me. Although there are obvious differences in the structure between the film keyboard and the static capacitance keyboard, they actually come to the same end in different ways. If we really want to make a definition, the static capacitance keyboard is a film keyboard with a long life, and will not decline with the use of time. (In contrast, the film keyboard has obvious feel changes after one month of use.)

Noppoo 108EC Pro is a successful keyboard. Although there is no unique and distinctive design in the appearance design, the integrated A design style is also the mainstream. The antique color matching key cap makes the whole thing full of flavor, and the key cap material and workmanship are commendable.

Compared with the starting price of at least 1500 yuan for its Toppre static capacitor, the price of only 699 yuan for Noppoo 108EC Pro can be said to be the king of cloth. Of course, the greater advantage of Topre static capacitor is in the quality of workmanship, the material of key cap and the thermal sublimation. Of course, the price of Noppoo 108EC Pro will shrink to a certain extent, which can also be forgiven.

Noppoo 108EC Pro also supports full keyboard customization and macro definition, and also supports firmware upgrade. It has been separated in hardware, and can be upgraded to RGB light version later. Whether you are an ordinary user or a mechanical keyboard enthusiast, the attitude of Noppoo 108EC Pro is very respectful.

Personally, Noppoo 108EC Pro can perform at least 90% of Topre's performance in hand feel. Domestic static capacitor is not a farce with "domestic independence", but a surprise encounter for me.
