The United States Patent Office has announced Apple's new patent application, which is called "Structure of electronic equipment and camera flash". According to the patent, Apple will assemble the camera and flash in the grille of the earpiece and speaker on the iPhone and other devices, which can provide a more concise look and feel. It is also noted in the patent document that Apple will also add a micro LED light, which is actually a new status indicator light.
Apple filed a patent application in February 2013, and the inventors were Lee E. Hooton and Kelvin Kwong.
