However, a series of subsequent events gradually fade away. And does this metal body, the pure IUNI U2 from birth, really deserve the name of "single phone emperor"?

In terms of hardware configuration, the UNI U2 has no features when compared with the current price in 1999. However, in terms of shooting, the IUNI U2 unexpectedly uses the 4 million pixel UltraPiexl in the front and 16 million pixels from OV in the rear, which is surprising in terms of hardware. In fact, what I like most is the IUNI OS.

Appearance design:

In terms of appearance design, the first model U2 of IUNI, as a new brand, has gone out of its own style. Not only does it not have the shadow or genes of other brands of mobile phones, but it is also not ugly, which is very rare. Although the IUNI U2 uses a 4.7-inch "small" screen, and has always said that it is a single phone king in the publicity, due to the design of the chin and forehead, it is actually more painful to operate with one hand.

The forehead, from left to right, is a hidden LED indicator, sensor, earpiece and front camera. Interestingly, the front camera of the UNI U2 is an UltraPixel. The pixels are still the classic 4 million pixels, and the aperture is F/2.0. The actual effect is really good, which is much better than the ordinary 5 megapixel front camera. The forehead of the IUNI U2 is not too exaggerated compared with ordinary mobile phones, but the curved line design will feel generous in the visual sense.

At the bottom are three physical touch keys, namely menu key, home key and return key, with corresponding backlight design. The physical touch keys of UNI U2 have redesigned the icon, and the visual effect is relatively good. Unfortunately, the jaw of the UNI U2 is too long. It is criticized that the quality of the workmanship of the IUNI U2 is worrisome. The inspection after purchase found that there was an obvious crack in the rear camera, which is really unacceptable. System UI:

The IUNI U2 is equipped with the IUNI OS with the slogan of "born pure", which claims to be the first truly "zero pre installed" system in China. After playing with the UNI U2 for more than a week, the UNI OS can be said to be the only reason to support my continued use. IUNI OS was born from the Aimgo of Jinli, and the extremely pure design concept and simple design style are the main reasons I like it.

IUNI OS is still in a relatively embryonic stage, and is divided into three versions according to Aplha (internal beta), Beta (public beta) and mass production version, which are different in detail. This evaluation uses Beta V1.2 for demonstration, which may differ from other versions in terms of detailed functions.

In most interfaces, IUNI OS tries to reduce the amount of information and restore the original, simple and urgent requirements of the interface, or it has a little MUJI feeling and concept. On the lock screen interface, the IUNI OS only displays the date and time. When charging, it will have the corresponding animation effect, and you can quickly enter shooting by sliding to the left.

There is no common shortcut switch in the pull-down bar of the UNI OS. You can display the network speed and turn on and off application notifications through options. Of course, there is no need to worry about it. The UNI OS does not have a shortcut switch. Instead, it collects it in the task manager and uses some gestures for one handed operation, which makes it easier and more convenient to use.

How compact and pure is IUNI OS? After the IUNI U2 is powered on, only 18 icons can be seen, and one desktop page is not enough, which is rare in domestic OS/ROM. In terms of widgets, only 5 can be selected by default. If the number of built-in applications is small and sophisticated without affecting daily operations, then it is a bit unforgivable to have fewer widgets. For example, the calendar widget I often use has no choice, which has a great impact on my daily use.

As for adding and deleting widgets, functions such as folder integration will not be absent. The IUNI OS provides an icon alignment function. In fact, it does not need to manually fill the empty space on the desktop.

You can also access the voice assistant and program search interface by sliding the icons at the bottom of the desktop from left to right. Unfortunately, the program search interface of the UNI OS can only search for programs, and cannot perform global search. I personally think it is a bit penny wise and pound foolish.

There are many similar gestures for sliding with one hand in the whole IUNI OS, and the gestures of IUNI OS are quite natural and easy to use, which is quite good, especially the task manager.

IUNI OS collects the fast and fast shutdowns in the task manager, but it cannot add, delete or adjust the order, which has great limitations. In addition to clicking the shortcut switch, you can also press and hold it to enter the corresponding detailed page. When dragging to adjust the brightness, the small icon on the right will have a corresponding animation effect. This small detail appears more frequently in the IUNI OS, adding a lot of aura and interest.

The one handed operation gesture mentioned above is most popular in the task manager of the UNI OS. In UNI OS, there are two ways to call out the task manager. One is to press the Home key for a long time, and the other is to slide up from the bottom of the screen. Although the task manager does not provide one button cleaning, you can use the gesture to slide right to achieve one button cleaning.

Whether it is a normal setting or an advanced setting, the inherent purity of the IUNI OS is unparalleled, and it can basically be displayed completely in one page. Of course, the disadvantage of this design concept is that there are few options that can be customized or set by yourself. In the design interface, IUNI OS also has obvious iOS shadows and genes, but the fusion and processing are quite appropriate, which is also valuable.

The simplification of the IUNI OS also means that the limitation becomes greater. For example, the frequency band cannot be set under wifi, so it may be urgent to use it for special purposes. When it is really necessary to use it, it is really urgent. It should be noted that the UNI U2 is currently only available in the WCDMA version, that is, the 3G version of Unicom.

There is not much to say about the display and sound options of the UNI OS, but they can basically meet the use requirements. Of course, the genes of iOS can also be seen in the design of some buttons of IUNI OS. Fortunately, the integration is relatively smooth, not as harsh and vulgar as other OS/ROM.

IUNI OS has two interesting features, one is the time lock screen function, and the other is the boot screen. Although the functions and pre installation of the IUNI OS are very simple, it has pondered over many details of animation. The simplicity of the UNI OS is also reflected in the developer's options. Just a USB debugging mode is really annoying. Although it conforms to the natural usage habits, sometimes people can't find it or complain about it.

In terms of built-in applications, IUNI OS also tries to be concise and accurate. Although there are few function options that can be set, the main functions involved are all provided. For example, the call interface can see a fairly simple and smooth design style. It can switch functions through the tab at the bottom. It also has the number recognition function and the call SMS harassment interception function.

The clock application of UNI OS is my favorite built-in app. In terms of functions, the IUNI OS clock certainly does not realize more functions of other mobile phones, but in terms of interface design and animation over design, it is really popular. Of course, such details are difficult to show to everyone through pictures and texts, but it's really comfortable and enjoyable to play with.

IUNI OS also has in-depth cooperation with LBE, providing its application management with such features as permission management, bootstrap management, networking management, etc. Of course, the most important thing is that the IUNI OS integrates LBE and integrates better with the system in terms of interface and function, which is quite important for the target population of IUNI.

On the whole, although IUNI OS does not have the fancy features of other domestic OS/ROM, nor does it have exaggerated animation aesthetic design, it is better than restraint and fluency, and its design style and design concept can attract quite a number of people. Of course, the details and functions of the IUNI OS are sometimes too streamlined, and some of the technical processing is a bit rough, which still needs a lot of time to think about and build.

Shooting ability

In terms of shooting ability, the IUNI U2 uses a 16 million pixel camera with OV built-in. The aperture is F/2.2, and the sensor size is 1/2.3 inch, which is larger than the common mobile phone sensor. In actual shooting, this 16 million pixel 1/2.3 inch sensor, due to its large bottom, is very helpful in the virtualization and focusing speed.

The shooting hardware of the IUNI U2 is good, but I am a little unable to complain about the shooting software. Due to the simple design style of IUNI OS, the shooting interface has almost no adjustable parameters, such as picture size ISO、 White balance, focusing mode and metering are all absent. IUNI only provides the HDR function, which can adjust the exposure when clicking the focus. Besides the countdown function, it is basically the filter, night view and panoramic mode.

Due to system reasons, some software may not be able to query the exif information of the samples of UNI U2. It can only be correctly queried through the light and shadow magic hand. Through the exif information of many samples, most of the samples of UNI U2 are below ISO 300. In fact, the basic idea of UNI OS in shooting algorithm is to maintain low ISO through slow shutter speed in order to gain better picture quality.

When the night view mode is enabled for IUNI U2, there will be corresponding text reminders on the interface to keep stable. I thought that after the night view mode was turned on, the shutter was lowered and the noise was reduced later. But the actual effect is quite ordinary, as shown in the figure above, it is a comparison between before and after opening. After the nightscape mode is turned on, the overall picture exposure has not changed, but the details are smeared seriously. The serious oil painting feeling after 100% magnification is unacceptable.

With a 1/2.3 inch outsole and good algorithm processing, the shooting of UNI U2 is quite comfortable. Although there are almost no adjustable parameters, accurate white balance and exposure can basically make it easier to shoot good films at random. The only problem of UNI U2 in shooting is that the shutter speed is slow and the shutter feedback is slow. It is easy to blur before you get used to the rhythm. In addition, there is a very small probability that the white balance will be adjusted all the time when the IUNI U2 is used for shooting for one week. Refocusing can solve this problem.

There are not many examples of IUNI U2's daytime shooting that can be found fault with. The excellent automatic white balance and exposure make the shooting process very simple and smooth. The slightly higher color saturation makes the sample more pleasing to the eye. The aperture of F/2.2 is much lower than that of F/2.0 or even F/1.8, but the actual performance is quite good and natural in terms of background virtualization.

When shooting a large color block with high color saturation, it is actually shooting some bright flowers and plants. In terms of details, IUNI U2 is basically blurred into one piece. Of course, I personally think the shooting samples of UNI U2 are quite comfortable in general, and 100% details can be forgiven as long as they are not too bad.

However, due to the slow shutter speed of the IUNI U2, in addition to the above mentioned unaccustomed rhythm, which is easy to paste, it can also shoot water effects similar to long exposure, which is also a blessing in disguise?

In the night shooting, the white balance and exposure of the UNI U2 are still quite accurate. Although the slow shutter speed remains low, the low shutter speed has affected the shooting success rate.

The front camera of the IUNI U2 is quite interesting. It uses the famous 4 megapixel UltraPixel of HTC, which surprised me very much, but girls don't like it very much. The shooting interface of the front camera remains highly simple, with common beauty, countdown and HDR, as well as popular filter effect. Using the front camera also provides an interesting mode, which is actually to turn up the screen brightness to illuminate. Although the effect of this function is much lower than that of flash, it is softer and is a good design.

The IUNI U2's 4 megapixel UltraPixel performs very well in resolution compared with the front camera used by other mobile phones, and has considerable advantages in shooting in dark light. However, one disadvantage is that girls don't like it.
