You can turn a Harley V-Rod into a reverse tricycle with a tool kit installed in one afternoon. Doesn't that sound "cool"? In addition to being cool, it can also replace bicycles and provide convenience for those who are not able to move. It really has both appearance and practicality, full of sincerity!
In fact, many tricycles in the market are transformed from Harley motorcycles, but most of them put two wheels behind the car. However, Scorpion Strikes in Wisconsin plans to launch a DIY toolkit, which can turn Harley Davidson V-Rod into a reverse tricycle by placing two wheels in front of the vehicle. There is no need to adjust the bracket. Except for the tool kit, only a few additional parts are needed. Scorpion tricycle conversion provides two wheel independent suspension and a complete appearance. All work can be completed in one afternoon.
According to the manufacturer, each Scorpion kit is produced for a specific model. The first version will target V-Rod of Harley Davidson, and the next version is planned to target the Harley Davidson tourist bicycle with FL bracket. The creator of the toolkit said that it has not yet been decided whether the Scorpion toolkit will be used for other models or brands, which will depend on market demand.
Scorpion said that their tricycle is suitable for all drivers, but it may have special value for people with physical disabilities, so they do not need to use standard bicycles. As for the installation, the manufacturer said that DIY enthusiasts can complete it in one afternoon, but they have not yet decided whether to install it only by dealers or directly deliver it to customers for installation.
With Elio, Polaris Slingshot and other transportation tools gradually blurring the boundaries between cars and bicycles, tricycles of various shapes and forms have become a growing market, but Scorpion Toolkit provides more of an old style appearance with only a main frame. It is obviously a motorcycle, which should attract some people. They want the appearance and sound of Harley, but may not want (or cannot) carry a heavy machine on the road.
Scorpion hopes that the earliest kit will be shipped in the early spring of 2015, equipped with optional accessories, bracket covers, body add ons and lighting kits under design and production. At present, there is no announcement about the release date of the next FL version.
The manufacturer expects the market price of the kit to be within the range of 5000 dollars (excluding freight and installation costs), with the proviso that in order to complete the installation, some parts not provided by the kit need to be purchased separately from the local Harley Davidson dealer.
