From shaft body, LED light, key position, key cap to shell, each choice is made by oneself, which is undoubtedly the greatest romance. However, the relatively high price really deters many people. Is it possible to only choose the mass production keyboard of Popular Face? The Varmilo VA104, whose slogan is to customize your equipment, seems to solve this problem.

There are five types of Varmilo keyboard series, and there are four key positions to choose from. The VB660M has been shown to you before, and today it is the VA104M of the standard key positions commonly seen by you. In fact, there are two models of Varmilo's 104 key keyboard, the VA104M and the VA104MS. The latter one has not yet been announced. Compared with the VA104M, it actually adds the HUB function.

The VA104M is similar to the VB660M in packaging design. It is also a very simple hard kraft paper package, which has a good protection and waterproof effect. Of course, soaking in water is not good. Various information can be seen from the side labels, such as the color of the shaft body, the color of the key cap, the color of the housing and the model. Of course, one LED color is not marked.

There are also two pairs of dragon boats and dragon beans in the attached parts package for easy replacement. Steel wire pulling is also common, I will not say more. Due to the compatibility of the key cap, a steel wire for the space bar is also included to facilitate the replacement of other key cap kits.

VA104M is a common 104 key design, which is also a mainstream product at present. There is not much to say about the appearance design, and the straight line design also meets the aesthetic standards of most people.

The upper right corner is special. Instead of setting common status lights, it uses metal nameplates with corresponding brand names. Unfortunately, personalized customization is not supported. There is also a rubber nameplate below to cover the original HUB position.

The VA104M does not use the current popular key wire separation, cannot replace the wire, and the routing direction is limited. The VA104M thread is made of nylon, which is more robust than the common thread, but has a certain toughness. It is much easier to bend, and will not have the tough feeling of Razer black widow. And there are all kinds of cable ties, gold-plated connectors and dust covers, which also reflect a small conscience.

The VA104M has many choices in terms of key caps. It can choose radium PBT or thermal sublimation PBT, and has a variety of primary colors. It is the most abundant keyboard in mass production. This time, the white PBT side engraved radium key cap is selected, and the pure PBT material is used, which is quite good in touch and texture. But what I have to complain about is that there are still a lot of details that can be modified in the font placement and choice of the side engraved radium carving.

It should be mentioned that the VA104M factory key cap high piers are all factory height, that is, Cherry height, but are set for OEM hole locations. Therefore, to replace the key cap, you need to select the OEM key cap. The original key cap is not compatible with the caps lock key and the blank key.

The VA104M is designed for the stabilizer bar and is lubricated accordingly. The feel of use can also be considered to be medium and superior, and the compatibility of Longchuan Longdou is good. After testing the key caps of various brands and batches, they can be perfectly compatible.

The VA104M is a built-in steel plate keyboard, and Cherry MX axis is used throughout the line, so there is not much to say about the feel. After all, the difference between us is quite small, and it can even be classified as a metaphysical difference. The VA104M is designed with full backlight, and three LED lights are built in the space bar for better lighting effect.

Of course, it's a pity that the lighting effect only includes switch and brightness adjustment, which is a little ordinary in terms of coolness. The VA104M has some multimedia buttons built in the F area, but there is not much to say. In general, the VA104M is a serious mechanical keyboard, and there are not many cool things to say big.

If it's just the above, then the VA104M is nothing special. But in fact, VA104M is special before you get it. VA104M or Varmilo series provides many customizable items, which can be said to be the only one among mass production keyboards at present.

VA104M can choose axis body, including Cherry MX red, black, green, tea, white, green, milk, gray and paragraph gray, and the special axis is also provided exclusively. The LED colors are red, blue, white, orange and green. There are also laser carved keycaps and thermal sublimation keycaps, which can be personalized. Of course, more importantly, you can select some keys as axis bodies. For example, the keyboard uses the red axis as a whole, but the esc position uses the green axis.

Of course, in terms of price, the Varmilo VA104M is slightly higher than the mechanical keyboard of the same level in terms of market pricing, but considering many customized projects, it still has certain advantages.
