For some disabled children, it is difficult to touch the screen. In the American public school system, more than 200000 children have some kind of orthopedic disability, which prevents them from using tablets and smart phones to obtain information. Researchers at Georgia Tech have developed an Access4Kids device for these broken wing angels.

Professor Ayanna Howard (right) and graduate student Haed Won park (left) demonstrated the Access4Kids device on their arms. The prototype of this assistive device is expected to create a fair competitive environment for disabled children.
