What is the fastest SoC today? Exynos 5250 of Nexus 10? Or the A6X for the iPad 4? It is believed that the various records they have set will soon be refreshed, and it is the Tegra 4 development machine that announced the score on MWC 2013 that breaks these records. Its powerful performance is believed to make all competitors ashamed.
Tegra 4 was released on CES2013 this year, but only some architectures were released at that time, and there was no real machine test. On the MWC 2013 on February 25, Tegra 4 finally showed its strength. In the CPU benchmark test, Tegra 4 beat Exynos 5250, APQ8064 and even Snapdragon 600.
From this list, the test score of Anthare can be described as adverse, reaching 36 thousand, almost twice that of some quad core SoCs. The performance of CPU and memory is particularly strong, which is in line with the strength of quad core Cortex-A15, but the performance in GPU test is not so good. In the 1080P resolution of the development machine, the performance of Tegra 4 cannot even be inferior to Adreno 320 ▼
What's more surprising is the Javascript performance test of the Sunspider web page. The test result is 499ms, and this should be the test with its own browser. Sunspider tests the single thread capability of the CPU, and we have experienced the strength of A15 on Nexus 10. The highest test score of the author is 5XXms. This time, Tegra 4 finally broke the 500ms barrier, demonstrating once again the powerful strength of A15 kernel ▼
In the test of Anthare, Tegra 4 did not perform very well, but on the more "reliable" GLBenchmark, Tegra 4's performance shocked us again. In the Egypt HD offscreen, it even exceeded the SGX554MP4 on the iPad 4, which is completely the strongest graphics processing performance today ▼
Although Tegra 4 is really strong, the equipment based on it will not appear until the second half of this year. We still expect the performance of the real machine.
