Unlike Nvidia, Qualcomm and Samsung, MediaTek's quad core processor is much more low-key, and its first models are some old manufacturers in China. MediaTek has always kept a low profile in the promotion of new media, which also leads to less opportunities for its products to focus on the Internet. Today, the author was lucky to get two first models of MT6589, one is TCL Y900, the other is Jinli GN708W Fenghua 2. Now let's see how powerful these two products are.

Appearance design:

In terms of design, the style of the two mobile phones is quite different. The GN708W is a bit like Xiaomi Generation 1. It feels like "no design is the best design"; The Y900 contains more design elements. From the first impression, the Y900 is more attractive.

The workmanship of the two handsets is relatively solid, and the plastic feeling of Jinli is relatively heavy. I hope that the technology of domestic handsets can be improved. Engineering plastics can easily give people a sense of cheapness.

The key part of the chin is quite different. Like the Nexus 4, the Y900 integrates the keys into the system, so it is not equipped with touch keys, while the GN708W is equipped with conventional touch keys.

MediaTek's four core chip MT6589 adopts a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 architecture, so its power consumption is better than that of A9. Fenghua 2 uses a 2100 mA battery, and Y900 uses a 2500 mA battery. However, Fenghua 2's battery can be replaced, so it is more flexible than Y900's built-in lithium battery design.
