Through the combination of Nexus 4 and some apps, Doug Gregory, a robot man, showed the feeling of the future smart house. If the main control device is replaced by Google Glass, how perfect it would be!!!

The author completed the project with only one master controller and four Z-wave modules for less than $300.
The software uses the Android artifact Tasker AutoVoice、AutoRemote、AuHomationHD、Yatse、XBMC、Netflix、Youtube 。

Doug Gregory explained how all this works:

Most commands are completed by the new Tasker plug-in AutoVoice. He created a lot of Tasker configurations to monitor keywords and phrases, that is, predefined tasks. These tasks can trigger independent lamp switches. The preset scenes are received by AutoRemote on Google TV, which also runs Tasker.

Yatse is responsible for controlling the PC terminal to run XBMC. When Google TV is switched on, you can use voice commands to make it play movies, music, TV programs, play/pause or adjust the volume.

Automation control is realized through Micasaverde Veralite home controller and Z-Wave module. Android and Veralite are connected through a third-party plug-in called AutHomationHD.

These things are easy to implement. If you can master the artifact Tasker, it will be a piece of cake.
