Jawbone Up2 is a smart bracelet, which can track your sleep, exercise, diet and provide a reference data for your life and health after matching with the corresponding mobile phone application. Recently, this product has also become popular among my friends around me. What is its attraction? Today, let's talk about the experience of using Jawbone Up2 for one week.
The Up hand ring design has a variety of colors and three sizes. It is low-key to wear on your hand. Most people only think that it is an ordinary bracelet, but they do not think that it is an intelligent device that can better integrate into your life.
The overall workmanship of Up is actually good, but the appearance design of Up is slightly ugly compared with the ordinary bracelet. The water chestnut design of Up makes it look a bit rigid, showing a bit of cottage flavor, but it matches the Huaqiang North environment where I live.
It has many functions. It can automatically calculate how many steps you take every day during the day. The Up app can also estimate how much distance you have walked and how many calories you have consumed every day based on your height and weight, and can tell you the percentage of sports goals you have completed every day, playing a sports reminder function.
Another basic function of Up is sleep tracking. Up uses MotionX technology to record your sleep time and awake time. In actual use, I also quite exclaim the accuracy of this technology. One night, I woke up in the middle of the night and replied to my email with my mobile phone. The next day, I saw that the time when the email was sent was 3:15, and then I looked at the sleep schedule of Up. It was really detected that I woke up at around 3:15. (The light blue and dark blue parts in the figure below represent my sleep state, while orange represents my awake state)
One interesting thing about Up is that it can monitor your sleep depth. In the Up application, we can see that our sleep depth is alternating (dark blue is deep sleep, light blue is light sleep).
And Up also takes advantage of this to provide a commendable intelligent sleep alarm clock function. If you are in light sleep within the first 10-30 minutes of the alarm clock setting time, the bracelet will wake you up by shaking. If you are still in deep sleep during this time, Up will wait until the time you set to wake you up. The advantage of this is that it will not disturb your deep sleep, and it can give you a sense of natural wakefulness through vibration during light sleep. In addition, it is certainly more comfortable to wake up by shaking than by a noisy alarm clock, and it will not wake up people around you, which is quite commendable.
But this sleep tracking is the same as the motion tracking. I see how this sleep chart and this motion chart can work. Not everyone will say that less sleep will lead to more sleep the next day. Most people may just use their mobile phones to capture a picture and share it with their WeChat friends.
In addition, Up also has a food tracking function. You can take pictures of food, scan barcodes, browse the album in the UP or search the food composition database to record your diet, analyze the calories and nutrition information you absorb every day. However, there are too many steps for food tracking operation, and it is basically not used.
Finally, let's talk about Up. Up does not support wireless synchronization. Every time you synchronize data, you must plug the bracelet into the headset port of your phone. What's more annoying is that Up can't monitor when you start sleeping. Every time you sleep, you have to switch the bracelet from awake mode to sleep mode. Maybe you will say that this is not too difficult to operate, but there are too many trivial things in life. In more than a week of use, I only remember to switch the bracelet to sleep mode three times.
Jawbone Up2 is a good tool. It can track your daily health, give you a reference data of exercise, rest and balanced diet, and let you know whether you have reached the health standard every day. But wearing Up without a watch will bring any changes to your health. Up just gives you a health report every day. It's up to you whether to exercise or not to increase sleep. Equipment is equipment after all. Whether you have the motivation and time to change your health is the most important. Otherwise, it is useless to give you accurate data, and it is just a waste to buy it back.
