Recently, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) granted Apple a new patent named "Capacitance Change Sensing of Electronic Equipment Enclosures". The purpose of this patented technology is to enable the shell of the electronic equipment to identify and trigger the corresponding functions according to the pressure intensity fed back by the pressure sensor. Different responses can be triggered according to different pressure degrees.

The design of this patent was actually proposed by Apple in 2009. Its purpose is to remove the physical keys and further improve the appearance of Apple products. This technology can be applied to all current Apple products. Imagine that the Home key of Apple products can be replaced by this technology in the future.
