The design director also showed us the polishing process of the magnesium aluminum alloy middle frame. At the beginning, it was just a whole piece of metal, gradually polishing the details and the opening of the antenna part, and then gradually molding through nano injection molding. The process was quite complicated.

The Coolpad design team was not originally the Home key of the design entity, but later had to design it like this for some reasons. In terms of material selection, it is also through a large number of investigations, and then select the scheme that most people like to choose, without being able to adhere to their original design. The design team also hopes that the design of Coolpad mobile phones will become younger and more fashionable, or choose more different materials to create a new appearance. Finally, the design team also assured us that the upcoming Coolpad Grand View 5 would remove the physical Home button and use more beautiful materials to present to consumers.

The new material back cover that Coolpad is trying to use is still in the confidential stage, so we will not release its material.

In addition, Coolpad is also trying to use wood grain material. This kind of back cover is not a complete wood design, because in consideration of the durability of use, it finally chooses to cover the plastic material with wood grain material.

Finally, when it comes to the contradiction between the designer's original design and the final production design, Coolpad designers also told us that the original prototype was the closest to the original at the very beginning, because the placement between the screen, frame and other components did not need to be considered, but it was another matter to really make a mobile phone, and the arrangement of components could not be so perfect, As a result, the final effect of the mobile phone will be slightly different from the appearance of the prototype. Therefore, the design department has quarreled with the production department many times, and a mobile phone finally needs to be constantly adapted in all aspects to be launched.
