The technology of converting words into speech has been around for a long time, but few of them can really be used by the disabled. However, this situation may change, but now it will change. The Ukrainian student team has invented this EnableTalk electronic glove, which can be directly converted into voice based on your sign language.
This electronic glove, called EnableTalk, has built-in bending pressure sensors, touch sensors, gyroscopes, accelerators and other equipment, and also has an intimate solar cell to increase power supply energy.
Its working principle is to use the built-in device to convert the sign language and gesture printed by both hands into text, and then use the text to convert into voice to play, and the whole system can also play voice through the Bluetooth headset.
The team had already produced several prototype gloves and asked sign language people to test their actual effects. Osika Maxim in the team said that the idea of this glove came from the athletes wearing hearing aids in their school. The hardware cost of this EnableTalk electronic glove is only about $75.
