Smartphones enable ordinary people to experience the charm of technology and make life more convenient. However, for those who are blind, they cannot experience the convenient life brought by technology. But now, the world's first Braille smart phone is about to be launched, so that blind people can also enjoy the same "touch" experience as normal people.
The special feature of this smartphone is that it can read the received SMS and email content and send them to the keyboard; The keyboard is made of memory alloy, which can convert text into Braille patterns, so that users can read the content of SMS and email in Braille. In addition, all other elements of the phone are similar to smart phones on the market.
The designer of this mobile phone is Sumit Dagar, who graduated from the Indian National Design Institute. He said that most of the current technology focuses on serving the mainstream public, ignoring the marginal crowd, so he had the idea to develop this mobile phone. At present, Sumit Dagar is cooperating with Delhi Branch of Indian Institute of Technology to develop the prototype of this Braille mobile phone and test it in an eye research institute in Hyderabad.
