Although there are not many software for mobile phone pressure sensors at present, the engineering mode of Samsung mobile phones comes with the test project of pressure sensors, and Samsung official has the software S Baro for barometers.

 

Introduction to test methods

First, let's take a look at the test of the barometer in the engineering mode of Samsung mobile phones. Enter "* # 08 #" on the dial panel of Samsung mobile phones, and then enter the sensor test project. One item, Barometer Sensor, is the barometer test, which can be input into the current Sea level pressure, that is, sea level pressure, to facilitate calibration. The other two items are the barometer test values and altitude test values. The effect is as shown in the figure:

 

The official S Baro software of Samsung can also measure the pressure and altitude, and this software is used to calibrate the values through the Internet, which is more reliable than manual input of sea level pressure.

 

If the phone does not have a pressure sensor, an error prompt will pop up when you enter the software.

 

Measured results

The subway is on the first floor, and the display pressure is 1018.95hPa, with an altitude of -7.54m.

 

The subway has the second floor, the display pressure is 1019.63hPa, and the altitude is -13.75m.

 

The elevator is on the twentieth floor, displaying 1011.9hPa air pressure, 50.42m above sea level.

 

The office building on the 7th floor displays a pressure of 1016hPa, with an altitude of 33m.

 

After a series of actual measurements, it seems that the barometer of the mobile phone still has some reference value, and the results are basically in line with the reality. However, it is found that sometimes the values are very inaccurate, and the fluctuations are large, so the stability of the sensor needs to be improved.
