Lenovo Launches Its Chromebook Notebook

Lenovo today officially announced its ThinkPad brand Chromebook, which is the third computer manufacturer to launch Chromebook after Samsung and Acer. This laptop model is ThinkPad X131e. In fact, this model has introduced a version of Windows before.

The X131e uses an 11.6-inch display screen, and a camera is designed above the screen, while VGA, HDMI, USB and other common interfaces are listed around the body.

In terms of hardware configuration, ThinkPad X131e for Windows is configured as follows:

  • CPU: AMD dual core E2-1800 processor
  • 11.6 "HD LED display (1366x768 resolution)
  • Up to 8.5 hours of endurance
  • Up to 500 GB HDD, 128 GB SSD
  • Up to 8G memory
  • Dolby® Advanced Audio ™ v2

Of course, the ThinkPad X131e for Chrome Book will probably change on the processor. According to the news, it will use Intel's processor. In addition, Lenovo has also added a roll cage and a more robust screen shaft to the ThinkPad X131e to reduce the damage caused by the device when it accidentally falls to the ground. Its overall weight is about 4 pounds (about 1.8 kg). Lenovo said the six cell battery could ensure that students could use computers all day long at school.

As planned, ThinkPad X131e for Chromebook will be officially launched in the education market on February 26, but Lenovo did not disclose the time when it will provide this device to the non education market. The price of its batch purchase is expected to be 429 dollars (about 2700 yuan, and 539 dollars for Windows version).
