At the Google I/O conference on June 26, Google released three Android Wear smart watches, of which LG's G Watch was the first to be launched. What's the difference between it and some common smart watches? How is the Android Wear system experience? Let's start today's evaluation:
We won't elaborate on the appearance. Last time Unpacking document It has been introduced in:
We got the Hong Kong version of the white G Watch, with a black dial and a white strap, equipped with metal fasteners.
From the side, the G Watch adopts the appearance of "sandwich", with a metal gold middle frame in the middle
The metal middle frame has a good texture
There is a microphone at the bottom of the watch for inputting voice commands
The strap material is very soft

Some diamond patterns on the back of the watch strap can prevent slipping
The bottom of the watch also has a white frosted surface, with a metal contact and a reset button at the lower left corner. G Watch model is W100, made in Korea

Start the G Watch. There is no physical button on the watch. All operations need to rely on the touch screen. There are many built-in languages, but there is no Chinese
In order to show the characteristics of Android Wear more clearly, we will show it in the form of screenshots below:
G Watch has a modern style in terms of dials
The dial style also supports customization. You can change the dial style by long pressing under the starter
Android Wear has a great feature that it keeps the screen on for a long time, that is, the watch still displays the time in black and white in standby mode. This is a good idea, but for G Watch, the endurance is a big problem. As we know, the G Watch uses a 1.65-inch 280 * 280 IPS screen, and even if the IPS screen displays a black whole backlight, it will emit light, which will greatly increase the power consumption when it is in standby. The status of not turning off the screen is obviously more suitable for the Super AMOLED screen (the following picture is the screenshot effect, which can be seen that the elements of the original dial are much simpler, and more suitable for black and white dual color display)
Another dial style
In the form of standby "bright screen", from the screenshot, only the color of pointer and number is different, of course, the actual screen brightness will be quite different
Pull down to adjust the vibration mode and check the power
Click the screen to display the main interface of Google Now. Of course, what is needed here is the support of Google search. We are in the Chinese network, you know
Click the screen again to enter the Android Wear menu. The style here is different from that of the native Android we used to contact. Clicking the first few items of settings will prompt you to enter the voice command format in Google Now

After the alarm clock is set, the user will be reminded by vibration. The alarm clock will remind the user
System settings, can adjust brightness, standby screen, etc
The system supports OTA. When it comes to the OTA interface, it becomes a Chinese interface, which makes people feel a bit strange
For flight mode settings, you can see the confirmation options on the full screen
System information, the system used is Android 4.4W, and W should correspond to Wear
The familiar developer option can enable USB debugging
Google Now voice search supports Chinese input

Generally, the pedometer function of smart watches is supported. The G Watch body is equipped with a 9-axis sensor, which can more accurately detect users' actions
Timer function interface, flat style
Card type timer notification is displayed under the starter
Swipe left to select full screen display
At the bottom of the menu, we can open third-party applications installed on G Watch, and even push microblogs via USB
But it cannot be used normally
World Cup football application officially supported by Android Wear client
The Android Wear series products led by G Watch, Gear Live and Moto 360 really let us see a new form of smart watches. The Android Wear system with Google Now as the core shows us a new UI form of wearable devices. The whole body has no physical buttons, and the novel operations realized by clicking, sliding and multi axis sensors also make us refreshing. However, the most common time viewing function, G Watch, does not perform very well. This is because the screen itself is not suitable for long-term screen opening, and the watch wakes up through the sensor is not sensitive. In actual use, the normal swing of the watch to be parallel to the ground cannot wake up the G Watch. We still need to tilt in a certain angle to view the time. From this point of view, the G Watch experience is not very good. On the other hand, the battery life can last for two or three days when the screen is turned off in standby mode, the time is checked normally, and the simple step counting and alarm clock functions are used. Of course, if you want to open the standby screen and link the phone to voice commands and other functions, the power consumption will be considerable.
