Ticwatch 2 adopts a magnetic charging design, so the accessories naturally include a charging base, a Micro USB cable, and a charging head with an output power of 5V * 1A. In addition, it is a manual.

The magnetic charging makes it very convenient when charging. Put the watch on and it will automatically absorb. However, I feel that the suction is not very great. If I accidentally touch it, I may disconnect it. The design of the charging base is a little particular. The front interior is actually a groove, which slightly saves the defect of insufficient suction. A layer of rubber material is used at the bottom, which can increase the friction between the base and the table top and improve the stability.

The Ticwatch 2 I got this time is a silver dial with a black strap. Personally, I think it is very stylish. The 42mm dial is slightly smaller than the 46mm dial of the previous generation, which is good news for users like me who have thin wrists.

The first time I picked up this watch, it gave me the feeling that it was very light (lighter than the charging base). I was not used to wearing a mechanical watch because I started to wear it, but I felt quite relaxed after wearing it for a long time. However, I think the reason for such setting is its characteristic function "flex". Its essence is to add a hidden touch area on the left side of the watch. By sliding up and down in this position, you can realize the sliding operation of the list page in the watch. It can be determined by clicking according to the speed of your fingers or the speed of the corresponding list sliding, However, the return operation is not available, so it can not be a separate operation part, just as a supplement to screen operation. Since I like the crown facing my wrist, this function is basically unused.

The addition of the watch crown makes the Ticwatch 2 look more like a traditional watch. This watch crown is rich in functions, but the manual does not specify it clearly, so it is hidden. Clicking is equivalent to clicking the home key to return to the main interface; Double click to take a screenshot and save the picture in the mobile phone picture library; Click three times to adjust the screen brightness to the maximum for several seconds, which is convenient for use in strong outdoor light. However, these functions need to be explored by oneself, which increases the learning cost, which is not good enough.

The rear shell of Ticwatch 2 adopts the piano baking process, which has a good feel and texture. The middle three lights are the heart rate sensors it is equipped with. At the same time, microphones and speakers are hidden above and below it.

Ticwatch 2's strap is made of cow leather imported from Italy. There are 11 holes on the strap, which meets the wrist thickness of most users. However, OLED screen can be said to be a double-edged sword. Although LCD screen display is more delicate at the same resolution, Ticwatch 2 uses the characteristics of OLED to add a constant light mode. Similar to Samsung's Always On, Ticwatch 2 can maintain the continuous display of the screen at a low power.

Although the brightness of the OLED screen on the mobile phone should not be a problem, I am still worried about the watch. During this period of use, the brightness of this screen is relatively high. Even in sunny days, the screen can be seen clearly outdoors in the sun. It is reliable to increase the brightness to the highest level in a short time with three clicks on the crown.

The screen saver glass of Ticwatch 2 is slightly higher than the watch case, so there will be an obvious feeling of cutting when the fingers pass. Personally, this is a defect in the design. If 2.5D glass is used, it should be improved.

As a smart watch, besides the time display function of the traditional watch, it naturally has more intelligent functions. Ticwatch 2 is relatively rich in functions. The system has 17 built-in apps, ranging from phone and information to QQ and maps, which fully shows that it has rich functions. At the same time, it also has a built-in patch type eSIM card, which can carry out 3G communication independently of mobile phones after opening.

Now that we have talked about its communication module, the 3G communication service of Ticwatch 2 is provided by Minsheng Communication, which can be successfully launched after inputting the ICCID of the watch on the official website of Minsheng Communication. However, this function requires a charge, which is also in the process of cleaning up. Because of this, Ticwatch 2 has the function of dialing and sending SMS independently from the mobile phone, so it is a good supplement when the mobile phone has no power. However, this function will naturally shorten the endurance of the watch to a certain extent.

However, even if 3G communication is not enabled, it is still possible to use the call function when connected to the mobile phone. This is also the advantage of the built-in independent speaker and microphone of the watch. Although the frequency of use is not very high, this is still one of its advantages.

In these days' use, Alipay and weather check are the most frequently used, because these two functions have been very convenient on watches, and the use experience is not inferior to that of mobile phones, and more convenient than that of mobile phones.

Ticwatch 2 uses the MT2601 1.2GHz dual core processor of MediaTek, and is equipped with 512M RAM and 4GB ROM. The system is a Ticwear system customized based on Android 5.1, which runs basically smoothly. After all, watches are only used to complete some basic functions. All operations on the watch, such as sliding and clicking, are relatively easy. The opening speed of the app is also fairly good. I haven't felt stuck in such a long experience.

In my opinion, although it is important for a watch to have rich functions, a good endurance can ensure that all functions can be used. Ticwatch 2 has a built-in 300mAh battery. In these days I experience it, the battery is charged once a day, because after the end of a day, the remaining power is not enough to last until the end of the next day. In order to adhere to a rigorous attitude, I tested the complete endurance of the Ticwatch 2 under four use modes.

1. The AW compatibility mode is turned off, the screen twilight is always on, and the endurance is about 24 hours.

Judging from the endurance performance of these four common modes, Ticwatch 2 can be recharged once a day. As for the time of charging, it depends on personal habits. I usually use the third mode with the shortest endurance. Due to software compatibility problems, I can only reply to WeChat messages when AW mode is turned on, otherwise I can only view them. In addition, considering that even this mode can persist from going out in the morning to going home at night, it naturally doesn't matter.

As mentioned in the previous article, Ticwatch 2 uses wireless charging technology. It can be charged by placing the watch on a magnetic charging base. In actual tests, the charging speed is relatively fast. It can complete 0-100% of the charging process in 65 minutes (charging at power on), and 49% in the first 30 minutes. During the whole charging process, through the monitoring of voltage and current, it was found that there was no trickle charging process, and it was charged at a constant rate of 5.1V 0.4A until the 65th minute (at this time, it was 5.1V 0A, so it was judged that the charging ended).

Although Ticwatch 2 can basically be used independently of the mobile phone, the mobile app is still essential. Ticwear assistant can complete some operations that cannot be completed on the watch, such as music management. At the same time, it is most important to enable AW compatibility mode (to enable this mode, you need to download and install Android Wear, which can be completed in Ticwear assistant).

The interface of the whole client is relatively simple. The main functions are listed, and you can basically find the functions you want at a glance. The function of each item can be understood by its name, so I will not repeat it here (see details in the picture below).

A small suggestion for the Ticwear assistant is that it seems a pity if the status bar is only used to show that the watch is connected. I think it would be better to add the current steps and power.

However, the most interesting thing is the "Taxi" function below. After entering, bind your Didi account or Uber account, and then you can directly taxi in the watch's voice assistant, which is very user-friendly and convenient. When it comes to voice assistant, some people may think that it is not accurate enough or has some other problems. However, Ticwatch 2's voice assistant does a very good job. There are three ways to call out: first, in the main interface of the watch, slide from the left edge to the right; The second is to say "Hello" when the screen is lit; The third is to swing the wrist twice (it must be opened in the setting). From the way it is opened, we can see that Ticwatch 2 attaches great importance to the function of voice assistant. Similarly, it is this kind of attention that makes its experience effect very good. In the actual experience, the recognition accuracy is still very high, which can basically meet ordinary daily needs. However, one thing is that the wake-up word "Hello to ask" cannot be changed, and there is no customized pleasure,

If you want to download and install software for Ticwatch 2, you need to download the "Ask App Store" app on your mobile phone. There are still many excellent dials and applications in it, However, it should be noted that some applications may be incompatible with third-party dials. In addition, it is worth mentioning that after the application is installed on the mobile phone, there is some delay in synchronizing to the mobile phone. This phenomenon exists in both the dial and the application. I hope it can be optimized later.

Another thing to note in use is that after the app is installed on the watch, it cannot be uninstalled directly on the watch. You should uninstall it in Ask the App Store My App.

Of course, as an excellent product, it is not perfect, and the phenomenon of screen mis touch often occurs in use. I hope this situation can be solved in future system updates.
