Here we come. This time, mobile 4G is really coming to us. I learned today that on February 2, China Mobile Zhejiang announced that it would launch TD-LTE 4G trial commercial business in Hangzhou and Wenzhou, and launch 4G experience activities in Ningbo. From February 2, 4G users in Hangzhou, Wenzhou and Ningbo can roam between the three cities and enjoy the same traffic tariff.
The 4G package is divided into six levels according to the monthly fee, namely 50/80/120/200/300/500 yuan, including 2G/4G/8G/15G/30G/100G Internet traffic in Zhejiang Province.
In addition, Hangzhou users can also freely switch and select 3G/4G networks through 4G terminals. When users are in the 4G network coverage area, the terminals will give priority to faster 4G networks, while in some suburban areas that are not covered, the terminals will choose 3G networks for wireless Internet access.
From the measured speed of the TD-LTE 4G network in Hangzhou at present, the download speed can exceed 100Mbps, which is dozens of times the current 3G Internet speed. The actual download speed is between 20M-80Mbps. The closer you are to the BTS, the faster you will get.
However, at present, the domestic 4G license has not been officially issued, and China Mobile will face certain regulatory risks when it launches the charging trial commercial business locally. Miao Wei, minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revealed in September last year that 4G licenses would be officially issued in about a year.
