At present, LG Optimus G Pro is the latest flagship machine under LG. Its 5.5 inch 1080P screen, the first Snapdragon 600 processor and the current 13 million pixel camera can make it the focus. So what's the specific performance of this camera? Can we wash the shame of "Long term LG destroyed the camera"?
First, let's take a look at the camera shooting interface of Optimus G Pro:
Well, the overall interface is like this.
There are some common shooting settings in the setting button.
It is worth mentioning that the first item selected can edit the shortcut displayed on the left.
The whole shooting interface has a strong Samsung style. It's a pity that there is no night scene in the shooting mode here.
There is also an option to turn on dual cameras.
After opening, you can use the front and rear cameras to shoot at the same time. Long press the front camera box to control the size of the front camera box.
VR panoramic view is similar to the 360 degree panoramic view of Android 4.2. However, the mosaic effect of this panoramic shooting is very poor and flashy.
That's about it. Let's take a look at the sample.
day
This machine has no metering mode to choose, only matrix metering.
However, to my surprise, the matrix light metering of this machine is quite good. Basically, the light metering of all parts is relatively balanced, and there is no overexposure or underexposure.
Of course, you also need to "manually" adjust the exposure. If you let the sky take up more pictures, the buildings below will become very dark. If you let the buildings take up more pictures, the sky will become very bright. So in terms of the perspective, please adjust it more.
However, this metering effect has been very satisfactory. The matrix metering of other mobile phones Xiaobian has contacted is not ideal.
So Xiao Bian also took a large number of daytime samples.
Of course, in such a high building scene, in order to take a clear picture of the building, let the trees below dim it
HDR
You may think that the above scenario cannot be solved by turning on HDR? Yes, Xiao Bian thought the same way at that time, and then he found that he was too silly and naive.
HDR off.
HDR ON. Hmm... No change, right? I can't believe it... So I ran to take another picture.
HDR off.
HDR on... Don't do that! Little effort.
HDR off.
HDR ON. After shooting, I saw the demo and totally surrendered! This is the only one that Xiao Bian has ever contacted that has HDR turned on and not turned on
This may be a problem with the current system version. I hope this problem can be improved after the system is updated in the future.
Sharpness
You should know that the sharpness of LG machines is always poor. So I will put it out here separately.
This is a sample shot by LG.
The small editor stood in the same place and used the alpha i9300 to shoot the sample.
This is a comparative screenshot of the two enlarged samples. The sample of LG Optimus G Pro is enlarged to 100%. The i9300 is only 8 million pixels, so even if the sample of i9300 is enlarged to 100%, it is smaller than that of LG, So the small editor continued to enlarge the i9300 sample to the same extent as the LG sample 。 ← Keep in mind that this is the sample of the i9300 magnified. According to the principle, when 8 million pixels are magnified to the same size as 13 million pixels, the sharpness should be a little weaker than 13 million pixels. Then you can click the picture to view the large picture. LG's 13 million pixel sample is even a little weaker than the 8 million pixel sample... Look at the wall texture, which is as rough as the i9300 shows. But the samples taken by Optimus G Pro have serious smearing
Again, let's make a comparison. After walking around, the sky suddenly becomes clear... This changeable weather.
It is also a comparison between the two pictures. Click to see the larger picture. LG's proofs are also heavily smeared. The fonts on the building have been smeared almost into a plane, while the i9300 keeps a better stereoscopic sense.
However, we can also see from the above two samples that LG's matrix metering is really good. Samsung also uses matrix metering. Under the same weather conditions, LG Optimus G Pro's metering will be better.
Macro
I don't want to say anything more, just say: "Very good macro" is enough. The background is also very soft, very good!
However, in terms of color, the red color overflows... The left is shot by LG Optimus G Pro, and the right is shot by i9300. The color of the real object is more inclined to that of the i9300. However, we can also see from the sample that the macro ability of LG Optimus G Pro is better than that of the i9300, and its aperture is relatively large, and the depth of field is especially shallow than that of the i9300. If you want to understand the relationship between aperture and depth of field, you can go to《 Science popularization: influence of aperture size on depth of field 》See inside this article.
Here are more macro proofs:
Nightscape
Note: Xiao Bian cannot use night mode in this system version. Once night mode is used, the screen will be stuck. Since the HDR effect is turned on as it is not, the night scenes are basically shot in normal mode.
Let's take a street shot first:
For the night scene of automatic ISO shooting, the 1.8EV behind means that exposure compensation is turned on. At that time, I wanted to try the effect, but I found that the effect opportunity was adjusted as if it had not been adjusted... I really don't know whether there is a problem with this system version.
Then the editor tries to shoot with different ISO to see the effect:
LG Optimus G Pro can open the highest ISO to 800, so the brightest performance is like this. Opening the automatic ISO will also raise the ISO to 800.
Limit ISO to 100 proof sheets.
I felt it was enough after I adjusted it to 400.
Although it is very bright when it is adjusted to 800, there are too many noise points. But if you really don't want to tune it... let's automatically ISO it. Anyway, it's like this at night.
The two most classic scenes, automatic ISO shooting, um... its night scene representation is very general.
Features
In the focusing mode, there is a manual focusing function rarely seen on other mobile phones.
When it is turned on, there will be a control bar at the bottom to adjust the focus. Adjust it to the far left for macro, and to the far right for perspective. Note that the focus bar is adjusted to the macro side, so the nearest beer bottle can be focused.
Pull it a little to the right so that you can adjust the focusing distance. Xiaomi 2A, which is far away, can be focused.
This function is particularly useful when shooting macro, because it is not easy to focus directly when using auto focus for macro shooting. When using manual focus, this will not happen. You can adjust the focus according to your own preferences.
For example, by adjusting the focus, you can shoot the scene of dim night lights outside through the glass after the rain.
summary
The daytime proof sheet performs well, and the matrix metering effect is very good. But the sharpness is really weak, and the smearing is serious. As for the HDR effect, it's the same as if I had not opened it. I don't know if it's a problem with this system version. The macro ability is very strong, the recent focus distance is very close, and the virtualization effect is also very soft, of course, the color red overflow is the most serious. In terms of night view, the performance is really too ordinary. In addition, when the night mode is turned on, it will also be stuck in the shooting picture, so it is not clear whether the samples in the night mode will be improved, but the effect is not good at present.
However, the shooting effect of LG Optimus G Pro is already the best among LG mobile phones contacted by the editor, which is much better than the Nexus 4 evaluated by the editor before.
