Corning gorilla glass has been widely used in various high-end models, but unfortunately, the second-generation gorilla glass will still be scratched. According to the news recently released by Corning, the company will launch the third generation gorilla glass at the upcoming CES 2013 exhibition (booth # 14813 in the central hall) on January 7, with all aspects of performance improved.
Corning Corporation said that the third generation gorilla glass has adopted a technology called NDR, which has greatly improved its molecular structure, thus improving the scratch resistance of the third generation gorilla by three times, reducing the probability of obvious scratches by 40%, and increasing the strength of the glass by 50% after damage. However, this is not enough to ensure that the mobile phone screen dropped from a height of 5 feet to the concrete floor is still intact.
